Filliers Belgian Advocaat in a new guise, but still very fresh!
Advocaat, a smooth liqueur delicious with coffee, as a topping for ice cream, in cocktails & freakshakes ?! Yes, it may not sound obvious, but Filliers’ Belgian Advocaat is also perfectly delicious in cocktails & freakshakes, for example.
Let’s go back in time… 50 years ago, the third generation of Filliers master distillers was active in the distillery. It was Firmin Filliers’s wife, Julia Denecker, who created the secret recipe for the typical Belgian Advocaat from Filliers in 1970. This secret family recipe has been passed on from generation to generation, so that today it still meets the same quality standards that Julia preconceived, and which ensures that this advocaat remains an artisan treasure. Only fresh eggs, cream, milk, sugar & pure alcohol is used in the production. The entire production process takes place au-bain-marie in small quantities in order to obtain a smooth and soft liqueur and to preserve the quality on the shop shelf.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the recipe and Julia Denecker, it was decided to give the product a new look. The popular retro preserving jar was given a new label for this, which is more in line with the premium and authentic character of the product.
It was also decided to expand the current range with a brand new duo-pack of 2 x 10 cl weck jars. This new reference optimally meets the increasing demand for smaller consumption options. With a dosage of 10 cl per weck jar, the perfect amount to spoon out in one go is reached. The small jars easily fit in the refrigerator and have a great opportunity within the catering industry to raise the experience around the product a bit.
In a next phase, the 50 cl squeeze bottle and the 4 cl mini jars will also undergo the same evolution and a 1 liter squeeze bottle will be made available for the catering industry. So something for everyone!
The family business has existed for over 140 years, but that does not mean that it is not keeping up with today’s trends. After all, the Filliers Belgian Advocaat is not only relevant with coffee or as a topping on ice cream, it can also be very tasty in some delicious cocktails and freakshakes.
