International esteem for our products

For a number of years, Filliers products are invariably submitted to various international competitions in which spirits are closely scrutinized by a universal professional jury, consisting of specialists in the field of spirits & premium spirits. It is with great pride that the Filliers Distillery products were also well received this year!

The Filliers Dry Gin 28 Classic was awarded the best Belgian London Dry Gin at the World Gin Awards and thus received the highest number of points. Not only the Classic Gin but also the Filliers Dry Gin 28 Pink won prizes and received a silver medal in the Flavored Gin category.

A few days later, the same organisation started the annual World Whiskys Awards in which Filliers Distillery participated with its very first batch of 10-year-old Single Malt Whisky. Where all other products were only registered for a tasting panel, Filliers Distillery had its unique bottle of Single Malt Whisky also assessed on look & feel taking part in the design panel with her whisky.

After all, this product was aged for ten years in European oak Sherry casks, the most complex and time-consuming maturation method in the whisky world. The development of the bottle & packaging for the first release took a lot of time and work. At the announcement of the results, a silver medal for taste and a bronze medal for design were received. Not bad for a first release!

Another well-known competition takes place in the United States, this under the name of the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. The range of gin, barrel aged genever & single malt whisky was submitted. Another victory was won with a number of medals.

The Young & Pure Genever won a double gold medal and was crowned best genever in the category! Finally the recognition that this product deserves. Filliers Distillery sees it as its mission to give the category of “genevers” a serious push, in order to make the category popular again with young & old, and this in a renewed premium & modern guise.

Not only its youngest reference was appreciated, also the Barrel Aged Genevers of 8 & 17 years old were awarded a bronze medal in the category.

Finally, the Filliers Dry Gin 28 Classic and again, the 10 Year Old Single Malt whisky received a silver medal, each within their own category, results to be proud of as a distillery.

This fall we will again participate in a number of other international competitions for which the sample bottles have just been sent. As soon as there is more news, it will be shared here. Until then, stay safe & keep the spirit alive!
