8 Years Old
This Barrel Aged Genever demonstrates the year-long perfecting of the maturation process in wooden barrels since the 1960s by Filliers Distillery. The wood of Bourbon barrels made from American oak gives a nice aroma of vanilla after eight years of maturation. As a result the pronounced juniper berry flavour softens, while still remaining clearly present.
This genever is perfectly pure, but can also be ideally drunk in the mix, eg in a Belgian Mule.

Belgian Mule
- 50ml Barrel Aged Genever 8 Y.O.
- 150ml Ginger ale
- A few drops of herbal bitters
- One slice of lime
Fill a long drink glass with ice, add 50ml Barrel Aged Genever 8 Y.O. and the herbal bitters, fill with 150ml ginger Ale. Garnish with a slice of lime.
