Grain Genever
The origin of this recipe goes back to the first generation. It was Karel Lodewijk Filliers who started a farming business around 1830 and started distilling genever in the margins. That is how he developed the recipe that was passed on from generation to generation. It has been continuously refined & improved.
Grain Genever
Filliers Distillery’s youngest genevers are never placed in a barrel, so they remain fresh & young in taste. The others go after distillation for at least three years in oak barrels, which gives a rounder character due to the influence of time, but also thanks to the aromas from the oak that gives off its taste.
Then the master distillers create a unique blend of the aged malt wine, grain alcohol, water, and the juniper distillate. The traditional production process in copper stills is combined with craftsmanship that intertwines knowledge from generations. This results in genever with a velvety grain flavour and a warm light yellow colour.
Fruit Genever
From the beginning of the nineties onwards, the range brought with it a different way of tasting, which, to this day, is still strongly linked to the end of the year. A warming shot during the cold winter months.
Spritz
With this Genever-based Spritz, we’re bringing Filliers into the summer. This sparkling aperitif is based on our Green Apple Genever.
Cream Liqueur
The cream-based spirits give a velvety and round taste. This creamy range also has a strong presence during end of year celebrations.
Coffee Liqueur
This liqueur offers a strong Belgian variant on the Irish Coffee thanks to the recognisable aromas of coffee & grain genever.
Pure Alcohol
Filliers Distillery also markets 96.2% pure & stable alcohol that can be the basis for your own preparations or for disinfection.
